With 30 years of mechanical plumbing and contracting
experience, we have run miles and miles of gas pipe, condensate etc. on
roofs and flat floor applications. After struggling with single pipe blocks,
expensive foam blocks that deteriorate, and especially blocks of wood, we
decided to make something better. Cutting 4X4
redwood and pressure treated blocks with an electric saw, then hauling them up
on the roof is time consuming and expensive, not to mention a lot of hard work.
If the job calls for the piping to be 6” off the roof, you get to cut 6X6’s
with a chainsaw. I’ve done it! After all that work, you have a bunch of ugly
wood blocks on a brand new roof. Everything
else is new and modern, and your piping job looks like something out of the 19th
century. That’s why we
designed the VERSABLOCK.
It’s inexpensive, lightweight, easy to transport, user friendly,
extremely versatile, and you have a professional
looking installation when you’re done. The
new VERSABLOCK even helps keep
your piping level on un-even roofs. Stacking two blocks together adds ½” in
height. By rotating one block 90º to the other, you achieve a 2” height
